Ashland State Park, managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation, is a hidden gem in Ashland, MA, offering 470 acres of forest and a popular 3.5-mile hiking trail around the reservoir. Operating seasonally between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the park provides opportunities for hiking, swimming, fishing, mountain biking, and boating.
Visitors can enjoy limited picnic areas with charcoal grills and tables, but parking fills up quickly in the summer months, so planning ahead and arriving early is recommended. Daily parking fees apply for both Massachusetts residents and non-residents, with options for mobile payments via the YODEL app and annual parking passes available for residents.

The lake is like a mirror. It blends into the blue sky and reflects the surrounding beauty. Walking in the sun by the lake makes people feel relaxed and happy.
