History

Yellow Door Art Studios started at its current location in 2014. However, Carrie Patterson's interest to share her knowledge about the Arts goes back in time. She earned a B.F.A in studio art from James Madison University and a M.F.A. in painting from The University of Pennsylvania. In addition she was a student resident at The New York Studio School. She's currently an Associate Professor of Art at St. Mary's College of Maryland. She is known as the Leslie Knope of the Arts in Southern Maryland. While she sleeps, she is thinking about new classes to add to the Yellow Door.

Specialties

Yellow Door Art Studios offers studio art classes for children, summer camps, and specialty workshops for adults. Classes include (but are not limited to) drawing, painting, mixed media, small sculpture, and new media.
