He had received research funding for these studies from the NIH and from the American Diabetes Association.Dr. Cooke is a recipient of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Institute for Excellence in Education award for Outstanding Achievement in Medical and Biomedical Education. He also has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Baltimore magazine. Dr. Cooke is a member of the Society for Pediatric Research, the American Diabetes Association, the Endocrine Society and Pediatric Endocrinology Society. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
