Western High School

Founded in 1972, Phelps Luck Elementary School serves more than 600 students. It offers a variety of learning programs in language arts, social studies, science, math and other traditional subjects. The school also offers special education classes and math support services. Its parent-teacher association sponsors family nights and winter and spring concerts throughout the year. Phelps Luck Elementary School also provides pencils, glue sticks, erasers, scissors, folders, binders and sharpeners. Additionally, it provides afternoon meals and an electronic newsletter. Located in Columbia, Md., Phelps Luck Elementary School is a part of Howard County Public School System, which operates more than 70 educational facilities and serves over 48,000 students.

Old Mill Senior High School has been operational for more than 50 years. Located in Millersville, Md., the school enrolls more than 2,500 students in grades nine through 12. A part of Anne Arundel County Public Schools, it is approved by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The school s curriculum includes mathematics, English, science, foreign languages, history, geography, economics, industrial and agricultural arts, phonics, physical and health education, music, and arts and crafts. It provides various special programs, such as the Business and Technology Institute, mathematics and science research program, college now, virtual enterprise, A+ computer repair and Cisco certification program, honors and literacy classes, college preparation assistance and advanced placement. Additionally, the school offers after school activities, including key, chess, science research, computer and spiral clubs, literary magazine, school newspaper, beautification committee, dyker park alliance, ski trip, theater guild, charity work and other seasonal activities.

Waugh Chapel Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 470 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers classes in math, science, social studies and language arts. Its curriculum also includes music, art and physical education. Waugh Chapel Elementary School maintains a library that houses a selection of books and reading and reference materials. Additionally, the school provides special education, guidance counseling and after-school care programs. Founded in 1967, it operates a parent-teacher association. Waugh Chapel Elementary School organizes educational field trips and back-to-school nights. The school serves meals for lunch and is governed by Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
