Incredible Chinese school that provides full language immersion, and also cultural learning! Loved that in addition to learning Mandarin the students also learn Chinese history, art, and culture....

The Washington School of Chinese Language and Culture (WSCLC), founded in 1986 by five Montgomery County families, aims to create an innovative learning environment that emphasizes both the Chinese language and culture for Chinese American students. With a current enrollment of nearly 250 students aged three to eighteen, WSCLC fosters mutual understanding and connections among diverse ethnic groups in the Greater Washington D.C. area.
Offering a dynamic curriculum that includes Chinese language classes and cultural hands-on activities such as calligraphy, martial arts, and folk dance, WSCLC also provides extracurricular opportunities for both students and parents. As a non-profit organization, WSCLC is dedicated to inclusivity and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, or disability.
