Spotsylvania County Animal Shelter, operated by Spotsylvania County Animal Control, is a county shelter in Fredericksburg, VA, dedicated to the welfare and protection of animals. Complying with state regulations, the shelter provides a safe haven for animals, offering opportunities for adoption, redemption, and euthanasia when necessary. Since September 2013, the shelter has been on a mission to achieve a no-kill status, ensuring that all dogs and cats adopted from the shelter are sterilized within 30 days, with the exception of young puppies and kittens.
