He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Life University in Marietta, Georgia in 2014. He later received a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from the world's first school of chiropractic care, Palmer College of Chiropractic, located in Davenport, Iowa.Dr. Tela is an avid rugby player and coach, representing teams in Zimbabwe and the United States, competing in some of the top competitions in the world. During his most active years, Dr. Tela represented Zimbabwe U19 and U20 teams and won the Junior Africa Cup in 2010 and participated in the Junior World Rugby Trophy in Tbilisi Georgia in 2011. In 2012, Dr. Tela played collegiate rugby at Life University while pursuing his undergraduate degree. His team went on to qualify for the Collegiate Rugby Championship 7s tournament and later won the national 15 D1A Collegiate National Championship in 2013.At Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Tela started as a player and was promoted to serve as the Head Coach of the Women's rugby team and later, the Director of Rugby for the institution. During his tenure, the women's team went on to win the Midwest Division 2 premiership in 2019. When he is not playing rugby, Dr. Tela enjoys watching movies, hiking, and visiting national parks.At his state-of-the-art practice, Dr. Tela uses chiropractic care and personalized rehabilitation programs to help patients recovering from a variety of pain problems, including headaches, lower back pain, and neck pain.
