A civil engineer with the railroad, he started W. E. Kingswell, Inc. in 1927. During the war, the warehouse was transformed into a provider of electronic assembly for the U.S. Armed Forces. After the war, Mr. Kingswell sold Minneapolis Honeywell and Stoker controls for boilers, later becoming a manufacturer agent. Mr. Kingswell died in 1972, and John and Peggy Lenahan, our current owners, bought the company in 1976. We like to say that we're proud of the company we keep! Official company history William E Kingswell Inc originated on Connecticut Avenue in Washington, DC. The company then moved to Georgia Avenue and then to Blair Road, both located in DC. William E Kingswell Inc was also located in Silver Spring, Maryland before becoming permanently situated in Beltsville, where it remains today.
