Hello, I was born and raised in Petersburg West Virginia and moved to Delaware when I was 14. I graduated college from Salisbury University where I played baseball with a Major in Mass media communications and a minor in psychology. I moved to the DC region after college in 2002. I have lived in VA, DC and now Maryland where I reside with my wife and 2 girls. I am very familiar with each of these locations and I enjoy them all for different reasons. I have spent the majority of my professional career in the finance and mortgage industry. I love this business and I love working for Mortgage on a Mission/Vellum Mortgage.

Paul Defngin entered the mortgage business in 1996 and has worked as a loan processor, mortgage planner, underwriter, and loan officer. Paul currently works at The Yi Team dba of Vellum Mortgage, Inc. as an independent loan officer. Paul is very personable and has tremendous knowledge when it comes mortgage programs and the loan process. Both of these attributes help him select the very best mortgage solution for his customers. He constantly strives to exceed the expectations of his customers and business partners. For this reason, Paul's customers trust his judgment and value his advice. Paul has a very fluent understanding of both the real estate industry and the financial markets. As a result, he is often quoted by local publications, including The Washington Times and NVAR Magazine. Paul graduated from the Catholic University of America with a B.S. in Financial Management. He actively supports the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Cadets High School Program and is proud to have been their first civilian sponsor. Paul has tremendous respect for our local firefighters and continues to support the firefighters community. Paul lives in Gaithersburg, MD with his wife and two boys. In his free time, Paul enjoys fishing and hiking. One of Paul's greatest achievements is hiking the Appalachian Trail from Harpers Ferry, WVA to its origination point in Maine.
