The Main Cup

Welcome to The Main Cup, Not just a Coffeehouse....Not just a Restaurant....... The Main Cup is located in Historic Downtown Middletown, Maryland. Its name is derived from the building's history which began over 100 years ago when C.F. Main began making and selling ice cream here. Main's Ice Cream and Butcher Shop became a Maryland institution as the business grew regionally. Presidents and state officials were known to stop at Main's on their way to Shangri-La, now known as Camp David. Ice cream was last churned here in 1969 and the Main family subsequently sold the factory. The Main Cup is proud to be the new owner of this historic landmark once again serving the community and establishing itself as Middletown's gathering place. With our humble beginning as a coffeehouse in the spring of 2007, in only a year we have become a full service restaurant offering patrons some of the best made-to-order casual gourmet fare in Frederick County. Tantalizing salads, homemade soups, crab cakes and evening plated fare can all be complimented with cocktails from our full bar. You'll be sure to enjoy this dining experience!
