Founded in 1950, The Arc of Baltimore, formerly known as the Baltimore Association for Retarded Citizens, is a nonprofit organization that offers a range of community-based support services to more than 3,000 men, women and children in Baltimore County in Maryland. It works with a team of over 700 full- and part-time employees. The organization provides services at nearly facilities and approximately 100 residential sites in the Baltimore metropolitan area. The Arc of Baltimore s programs include vocational training, medical day care, and landscape and janitorial employment services.
