The Carroll County Detention Center is comprised of two bureaus. The center s security service bureau consists of security shifts and inmate services. The security shifts primarily provide for the care, custody and movement of the inmates within the secure area of the jail. Inmate services provides scheduling and other administrative functions for the security shifts. The administrative services bureau features a special operations division, which includes central booking, work release, transportation and food services units. The bureau also has a pre-trial services unit, records and classification unit, treatment liaison and a training/quartermaster officer.
