The Eudowood Division of Pediatric Respiratory Sciences is located in the David M. Rubenstein Child Health Building. Our mission is to improve the health of children with respiratory disorders by providing exemplary patient- and family-centered care, performing research to understand the mechanisms of disease and developing new therapies. Our physicians have the expertise to evaluate and treat a wide variety of problems, including asthma, acute and chronic pulmonary infections, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, sleep-disordered breathing, chronic cough, cystic fibrosis, dysfunctional swallowing, end-stage lung disease, interstitial lung diseases, lung failure and breathing abnormalities.

Dr. Pranita Tamma is an accomplished Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. As the Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship, she focuses on optimizing antibiotic selection to improve patient outcomes and reduce associated harms. With a strong emphasis on combating multidrug-resistant infections, Dr. Tamma's research has garnered significant funding, including a recent $14 million award aimed at improving outcomes in adults with gram-negative bloodstream infections.
