Kristen Fernandez, MD, is director of the Ascension Saint Agnes Breast Center. She is a board-certified general surgeon who completed a Susan G. Komen Breast Surgery Fellowship and specializes in the treatment of breast cancer and benign breast disease. Dr. Fernandez has extensive experience with state-of-the-art treatment options including breast conserving surgery, accelerated partial breast radiation and nipple sparing mastectomy. At the Breast Center, Dr. Fernandez enjoys helping women understand the treatment options available to them and works collaboratively with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan. She is an avid proponent of regular mammograms for detecting cancer early when it is easier to treat. Dr. Fernandez was named "Top Doc" in Breast Surgery by Baltimore Magazine 2011-2018.
