Samuel Alaish, M.D.

Nyall London has a unique clinical practice focused on the care of patients with sinonasal and skull base cancers. As one of the few surgeons trained in both head and neck cancer surgery, as well as rhinology and skull base surgery, he offers patients comprehensive sinonasal tumor surgical care, including open and endoscopic approaches as well as neck dissection surgery. Dr. London has developed notable patient education events about the multidisciplinary and long-term care of patients with sinonasal malignancies. Additionally, he is an innovator of clinical trials for these rare tumors, with open clinical trial options available and multiple others in development. Internationally recognized for his expertise in the care of patients with sinonasal and skull base cancers, Dr. London was an associate editor for the first international consensus statement on sinonasal tumors, and was appointed president of the International Network for Sinonasal Cancer Research (2024–26). He directs a research laboratory at the National Cancer Institute/National Institutes of Health focused on therapeutic advances and mechanisms of sinonasal tumorigenesis. Dr. London has published more than 130 peer-reviewed research articles, reviews and book chapters, including co-first author publications in Nature, Nature Medicine, Science Translational Medicine and Nature Cell Biology. He earned his medical and doctoral degrees from the University of Utah, and completed his residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at Johns Hopkins. He also accomplished a fellowship in open and endoscopic head and neck and skull base surgery at The Ohio State University, under the direction of Dr. Ricardo Carrau.

Dr. Shruti Paranjape attended the University of Pennsylvania and received her M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her pediatrics residency and pediatric pulmonology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.She has served as the Assistant Director of the CF Center at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.Her awards include the James Sutherland Award for Outstanding Research by a Young Investigator.

Dr. Bonnie Sun is an assistant professor of surgery and breast surgeon at Suburban Hospital and a faculty member of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She practices in Washington, D.C. and Bethesda, MD as a Johns Hopkins Community Physician. Dr. Sun has an expertise in breast cancer and is skilled in surgical techniques to improve cosmetic outcomes, such as nipple and skin sparing mastectomy, minimally invasive breast surgery and breast conservation with oncoplastic techniques. Dr. Sun earned her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in general surgery, followed by a fellowship in breast surgery at University of Southern California Medical Center.Dr. Sun is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Association of Women Surgeons and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Sun has conducted research focusing on surgical treatment that improves clinical outcomes, long-term outcomes and postoperative quality of life, as well as clinical advancements in the practice of breast oncologic surgery. She has published numerous scientific papers in national peer-reviewed journals and presented at national meetings.
