Saint Bernadette School

Founded in 1947, St. Bernadette School is a parochial, Catholic elementary school that serves more than 450 students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school offers classes in physical education, language arts, mathematics and religion. Its library and media center provides access to a range of books, journals and magazines. St. Bernadette School also offers opportunities to participate in several extracurricular activities, such as band, athletics, choir, chess and drama. The school provides programs in art, technology, Spanish, speech and music. It has a student council that assists in planning student activities. The school offers before- and after-school care programs. It has a staff that is comprised of a guidance counselor, nurse and teachers. The school additionally organizes field trips, family nights and cultural art shows. St. Bernadette School is located in Silver Spring, Md.
