I've been to this park a few times to hang out and just relax on a nice day, and most of that is due to the fact that the skatepark is located here. Even though I haven't skateboarded in years...

Staying nearby at the guesthouse by good neighbor, I walked down to Roosevelt Park, which dates back to the 19th century. Enjoying murals, I wandered around the recreation center near the skate...

Park itself is a great oasis in the middle of city life. People were playing pick up soccer games and skating around the skate park. Free street parking. It was clean and welcoming.

The skateboarders are kind and considerate. Playground is ok. Nothing to write home about, but a nice family outing with something for everyone.
