Dr. Fields is also committed to the provision of evidence-based, culturally competent care of sexual and gender minority youth and is involved in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education in this area. Dr. Fields began his training in research and public health while completing a master of public health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. He continued his education and training in the Medical Scientist Training Program at Johns Hopkins, where he earned his medical doctorate and his doctorate in philosophy from the School of Medicine and Bloomberg School of Public Health respectively. He completed pediatric residency training at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center and his subspecialty fellowship training in adolescent medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
