Old Greenbelt Family Health is an inclusive healthcare clinic that is proud to serve the wonderful Greenbelt community! Our doors opened November 15, 2022 and we are thrilled to be here! The clinic offers primary care for both children and adults, and serves all ages, from newborns to the elderly.Julia Gabriel, NP is the owner and sole provider at Old Greenbelt Family Health. She believes strongly that everyone deserves access to caring, compassionate, and highly skilled medical care; regardless of gender presentation, body size, legal status, age, or socioeconomic status. She likes to make her patients feel comfortable and considers their entire history and previous experience with the healthcare system in her interactions. She believes strongly in patient autonomy and informed consent.Julia loves working with Latino patients and can perform care in both Spanish and English. From her years working with the Latino community in Langley Park, she developed knowledge of the Spanish-speaking providers, resources, and specialists in the area. She greatly enjoys serving patients who traditionally lack access to healthcare, and her mission is to empower all of her patients to condifently manage their health and navigate the healthcare system.Julia is also proud to serve the LGBTQIA community, including assisting trans, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming patients through gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT). She first started and continues doing work with GAHT through a telehealth platform called Plume, which has grown to be the largest platform for providing HRT in the country. She finds this work to be incredibly rewarding, and important to advocate for in our collective political landscape.Services at Old Greenbelt Family Health include preventive health physical exams, vaccines, pediatric care and treating a wide range of conditions. Managing chronic health conditions is also a focus. Patients with hypertension, diabetes, hormone issues, kidney disease, asthma, allergies, and more rely on Julia for personalized care.
