North Point State Battlefield is a historical landmark located in Dundalk, Maryland, preserving nine acres of the last undeveloped land from the historic Battle of North Point. This urban oasis features two gravel loop trails, interpretive signs, and eco-friendly enhancements such as wetlands, boardwalks, and wildflower meadows.
On September 12, 1814, the site served as a critical battleground during the War of 1812, where American forces, led by Brigadier General Stricker, engaged British troops. The battlefield's opening is part of a broader initiative to improve North Point State Park, which also includes the recently renovated Crystal Pier and new exhibits at the Takos Visitor Center highlighting the area's rich history.
