The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities provides a variety of programs for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. It maintains a commission on disability issues that promotes and enhances the quality of life for people with disabilities. The commission also advises the county executive and the county council on the coordination and development of government policies, programs, services and allocation of resources for people with disabilities. Located in Annapolis, Md., the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities offers adult evaluation and review services that assist functionally challenged and chronically ill adults of 18 years and above in maintaining a quality lifestyle in their place of residence.
