Missy Bloom’s Soapery

History

Many years before creating my first bar of soap I was working at a swim school. My skin was exposed to heated water and chlorine on a daily basis. I began to develop very dry skin and no soap or body butter could ease the irritation. I began to look for other products that were cleansing and nourishing enough to soothe my dry skin. With no luck finding anything on the market, I researched how to make my own body wash with milk and other skin loving ingredients. After some research, I stumbled upon soap making from scratch. At first, I used a recipe I found online but, soon I realized I wanted something more gentle. With the confidence I gained from practicing with recipes formulated by other people. I experimented with my own recipe until I was happy with the conditioning factor of my soap. Three years and many compliments later, I decided to turn this into a business.
