For more than 100 years, families have been driving from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and points beyond to visit the Milburn Orchards. The family owned and operated farm has been growing and selling fresh fruit since 1902, and is now run by the fourth generation of the Milburn family. The orchard was established by Esma B. Milburn, in 1902. His son, John W. Milburn then ran the farm until his sons, Evan and John took over the responsibility. Now, Evan and John are technically retired, but show up often to help the fourth generation. Today, Nathan Milburn, Evan's son, is the crop and field crew manager, while John's three children have the following responsibilities: Jay Milburn is the retail manager of the farm market and the person who keeps the mechanical wheels running all over the farm. Jay's wife, Ilene, helps him in the farm market and manages the Orchard View Ice Cream & Snack Deck. David Milburn is the site manager and manages all outdoor activities and special events. Melinda Milburn Palmeri is responsible for accounting, marketing, and bakery management. Many other family members also help in many ways where and when they are most needed, and just about everyone is available to help during the fall festivals. They are very important to the success of our family business!

Even though it was a very dreary day, we still made the best of our trip to the orchard. We purchased fall festival tickets online and were not able to enjoy most activities as it was pretty...

Always a good place to visit to get outside and do some activities with the kiddos or purchase some fruit and vegetables. It's not far into Maryland from Delaware so have been frequenting for years.

Apple cider donuts were good. A dozen donuts were about $12 and $2 for one. They only have portopotties so I changed my kid's diaper on the grass. Their ice cream sounded good. I heard someone...
