Mayra Sanchez Gonzalez, PhD

Dr. Paige Seegan is an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She serves as the Director of Behavior Medicine Services for the Division of Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatric Dialysis Program. Dr. Seegan specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with acute and chronic medical conditions. Dr. Seegan utilizes various modalities of evidence-based practice including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent Management Training (PMT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to assess and treat medical nonadherence, anxiety, depression, sleep, weight-management, and behavioral challenges in patients with acute and chronic illness. She enjoys consulting and working closely with multidisciplinary treatment teams to help promote adherence to medical regimens and patient and family coping with pediatric chronic illness and related disabilities.Broadly, her research interests are focused on the multi-level factors that contribute to disparities in pediatric health outcomes, as well as ways to improve access to high-quality care. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Texas Tech University and completed her predoctoral internship training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Prior to completing her fellowship in the Pediatric Medical Psychology Program at Johns Hopkins, she completed a research fellowship focused on pediatric health disparities at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Lorraine Milio is an assistant professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. She serves as obstetrical director and obstetrical consultant for the Center for Addiction and Pregnancy. Dr. Milio’s areas of clinical expertise include endocrine disorders of pregnancy and HIV and pregnancy.Dr. Milio earned her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Mount Holyoke College and her M.D. from Rush Medical College. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University/Bellevue Hospital Center and performed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. She also holds a master’s degree in public health from The Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Milio joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 1996.Dr. Milio is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Milio is a recipient of the Johns Hopkins Service Excellence Award.

Dr. Cameron is the director of the Johns Hopkins Department of Surgery and surgeon-in-chief of The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Cameron was born at Johns Hopkins and raised in Baltimore. He attended Harvard College and returned to Johns Hopkins where he obtained his M.D.. and Ph.D. degrees. His surgical training was spent at the Massachusetts General Hospital and then at UCLA for Liver Transplantation. He returned to Hopkins as Head of the Liver Transplant Program in 2006. His laboratory studies stem cells and the liver to promote drug-free transplantation and other pursuits include the use of social media to increase organ donation. He is married to Lisa, a lawyer, and has two children, Charlotte and John.
