Life Crisis Center
The Life Crisis Center, established in 1976, is a local non-profit agency dedicated to improving community quality of life through crisis intervention and violence prevention services. The organization offers a wide range of support to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse, utilizing nationally recognized treatment models to serve Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset Counties.
By providing comprehensive services such as a 19-bed safe home, counseling, legal advocacy, and outreach programs, the Life Crisis Center aims to create a safe environment for healing and recovery. As a United Way agency of the Lower Eastern Shore, it also operates the suicide hotline and serves as the designated information and referral center for Maryland 2-1-1 throughout the Eastern Shore.
