Kids Adventures at Candlewood Elementary School

A Blue Ribbon School, Candlewood Elementary School offers a range of educational programs to more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade five. Founded in 1968, it conducts classes in physical education, reading, music and art. The school administers special education and English for Speakers of Other Languages programs. It operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising events and programs. The school maintains a media center that instructs students in informational literacy skills. It also organizes a variety of events, including international and movie nights. Candlewood Elementary School is a part of Montgomery County Public Schools, which serves over 135,000 students in several educational institutions.
