Kevin O’Malley is a Hospitalist in the Division of Hospital Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and an Assistant Professor in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and Medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed an internship in Family and Community Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center, an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and joined the Johns Hopkins Division of Hospital Medicine in 2020. He seeks to provide exceptional and equitable care for acutely ill patients admitted under his care, encourage or promote the development of the next generation of clinician-leaders, and explore opportunities to leverage technology to equitably improve patient outcomes and improve the work life of healthcare workers.

There, he was also a member of the Sleep Center, the Vision Center and the Institute for Neuroscience.Dr. Gottschalk serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including The Scientific World Journal and World Journal of Anesthesiology. He was recognized by Johns Hopkins with a Service Excellence Award in 2011. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
