Jemicy School

Jemicy School, founded in 1973, offers educational programs for students with language-based learning differences in reading, writing, spelling, handwriting, arithmetic and phonological processing. Its community outreach program offers its services to public, parochial and private schools in the region, and includes project read workshops, camps training courses, study skills classes and private tutoring referrals. Its curriculum is based on formative assessments, and includes subjects, such as English, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education. Its extracurricular activities include Halloween dance, Christmas celebration, soccer tournaments and group conferences. The school s parent-teacher organization involves parents in various fundraising activities of the school. Jemicy School is located in Owings Mills, Md.
