He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed fellowships in cardiology at the University of Southern California and Georgetown University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Albornoz is the assistant director of the cardiac catheterization lab at Saint Agnes Hospital and specializes in radial catheterization and radial STEMI intervention.
