Howard County Corrections Department

Ordnance Road Correctional Center, also known as ORCC is a medium security for men and women who have been convicted and sentenced to terms up to 18 months. It also holds men and women who are awaiting trial. The center conducts programs for re-entry of inmates in community after the completion of sentences. It can accommodate more than 430 inmates and is operated by the department of detention facilities. The department offers a variety of public safety services and is located in Glen Burnie, Md. The department of detention facilities is governed by Anne Arundel County, which operates through various divisions.

Montgomery County Correctional Facility works to protect and serve the citizens of Montgomery County in Maryland by providing progressive and comprehensive correctional services to inmates. The facility's current is more than 1,020 inmates. It offers Acute and chronic medical care and dental services. Montgomery County Correctional Facility also administers several therapeutic substance abuse and self-help programs. The correction facility operates the Model Learning Center, which conducts full-time educational and vocational programs. It features a full-service library and multipurpose and recreation program areas. Montgomery County Correctional Facility is a part of the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation, which is a civilian agency that was founded in 1972.

The Carroll County Detention Center is comprised of two bureaus. The center s security service bureau consists of security shifts and inmate services. The security shifts primarily provide for the care, custody and movement of the inmates within the secure area of the jail. Inmate services provides scheduling and other administrative functions for the security shifts. The administrative services bureau features a special operations division, which includes central booking, work release, transportation and food services units. The bureau also has a pre-trial services unit, records and classification unit, treatment liaison and a training/quartermaster officer. The Carroll County Detention Center is located in Westminster, Md.
