Established in 1979, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) helps families and individuals suffering from mental illnesses. The center offers an array of peer education and training programs as well as initiatives/services for individuals, family members and health care providers. Based in New Hyde Park, N.Y., it is a Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited firm.
