Founded in 1971, Humanim is a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with disabilities and is located in Columbia, Md. It offers a wide range of mental health services, such as crisis intervention, psychiatric evaluation, group and family therapies, treatment planning and review and therapeutic day programs. It also offers a variety of neurorehabilitation services that include neuropsychological assessment, acute comprehensive rehabilitation, day and residential programs and training seminars for families and professionals. In addition, the organization provides vocational services, including career assessment, job placement and coaching, employment program and supported employment alternatives. Humanim has a student assessment center that provides specialized assessment and treatment to maximize social and academic functioning.

Established in 1968, St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center is one of the oldest nonprofit housing providers in Baltimore City, having serves over 100,000 families. Based in Baltimore, Md., it helps to create and maintain equal housing opportunities for low as well as moderate-income people. The company offers various programs, such as home ownership, home sharing, rental services, housing development and foreclosure prevention. Some of its services include counseling, workshop, avoid loss of home ownership and move from shelters to permanent house, to name a few.
