Hammond High School

Established in 1976, Hammond High School is a coeducational public high school providing education in grades nine through 12. The school offers various education and enrichment programs, such as gifted and talented, early childhood development, alternative education and programs for students with emotional problems. It provides college preparatory courses in various subjects, including foreign languages, art, English, math, music, drams, social studies and science. The school also provides courses in technology and computers and provides various special education programs for children with disabilities. Its drama department offers students the opportunity to participate in various events and festivals, such as the Maryland College Theater Fair and Shakespeare Festival. The school also provides libraries, media centers, extracurricular activities, athletic programs, and guidance and counseling services. Hammond High School is a part of the Howard County Public School System and is located in Columbia, Md.
