Global Vision 2020 is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the global epidemic of poor vision, particularly in developing countries. Founded by J. Kevin White, a retired U.S. Marine and Naval Academy graduate, the organization has created the innovative USee Vision Kit, which allows volunteers to provide prescription eyeglasses to individuals in remote areas who lack access to vision care.
With a lightweight system and simple training, the USee Vision Kit enables trained refractionists to deliver corrective eyewear in minutes, significantly improving the lives of those affected by vision impairment. Since its inception, Global Vision 2020 has successfully distributed over 200,000 pairs of glasses across 65 countries, paving the way for enhanced safety, education, and self-sufficiency for millions.
