If you need to get to DC without having to deal with metro delays use Marc train. They operate M-F . Parking is free... its about 7 stops in between to Union Station. There are rarely delays....

Parking is still a problem here, especially for the last two trains on Wednesdays (7:51am and 8:19am). Don't park illegally, as MTA does ticket the lot. There are two MARC ticket machines here...
