General Smallwood Middle School

Located in Indian Head, Md., General Smallwood Middle School offers educational classes to more than 600 students in grades six through eight. The school provides academic education in various subjects, such as computer technology, physical education, language arts, math, science, social studies and English. It has a media center that provides access to various resources and materials, such as books, databases, encyclopedias, newspapers and magazines. It offers special summer programs and has a parent-teacher organization that organizes donation programs for underprivileged children. General Smallwood Middle School is a part of Charles County Public Schools, which also governs other elementary, middle and high schools. The district operates administrative, curriculum, community and management information, personnel, transportation, legal and financial services divisions.
