Held the third Saturday in May, the Gaithersburg Book Festival is an annual outdoor celebration of great books and great writing that is fast becoming one of the nation's top literary events. The festival features best-selling and award-winning authors presenting throughout the day on multiple stages, as well as author signings, local author booths, a Children's Village packed with activities and crafts, an array of food vendors, free writing workshops for all ages, exhibitors with literary wares, singer-songwriter presentations, poetry readings and on-site book sales by Politics and Prose and Friends of the Library. Rain or Shine it's a wonderful day to spend with family. They always bring in top Authors. The workshops are very informative and fun. I look forward to it every year.
