Friends Meeting School

Founded in 1829, St. John Regional Catholic School offers a variety of educational and enrichment programs for students in prekindergarten through grade eight. It teaches various subjects, including English, Spanish, religious studies, math, science, social studies, health education, language arts, computer science, music, arts and crafts, and physical education. The school offers sports programs, such as lacrosse, baseball, soccer and basketball. It also provides a variety of extracurricular activities, including band, chorus, Irish dance, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, yearbook club, student council, art club, beta club, and National Junior Honor Society. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and is a member of the National Catholic Education Association. Located in Frederick, Md., St. John Regional Catholic School enrolls more than 600 students.

Christian School of York offers classes from grades kindergarten through 12, and serves more than 400 students. Its wide range of curriculum includes reading, writing, English, Spanish, creative writing, mathematics, social studies, science, environmental and earth science, accounting, psychology, computer and graphic design, and Bible. The students are also instructed in art, vocal and instrumental music, and physical education. The school has various clubs, such as language, art, drama, science, computer, and mathematic clubs, and also offers band, choir and orchestra. Its school library offers a large collection of books, magazines, journals, encyclopedias, and audiovisual reference materials to students and teachers. The school offers sports activities, such as soccer, field hockey, cross-country, volleyball, golf, basketball, baseball and track. It organizes various fund-raising programs, cultural activities and field trips. It additionally provides health care, counseling, food and transportation services to students. The school is located in York, Pa.

TPCDC employs a well-qualified and highly dedicated staff. All staff are certified by Maryland s Child Care Licensing Division and participate in regular professional training. TPCDC prides itself on attracting superior staff and retaining them for many years. The Takoma Park Child Development Center ( TPCDC ) is a private, nonprofit early childhood program serving children ages eighteen months to twelve years. The Center is located in the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church ( TPPC ), in Takoma Park's historic district. TPCDC was founded in 1981 as a mission of TPPC. In 1997, TPCDC became an independently operated 501 ( c ) program. Center church maintain a positive and supportive relationship. When TPCDC was first founded, it served just a few children, many of whom were affiliated with TPPC. Over the years, as the community's needs and demographics changed, so did our Center. The organization grew in size, and new programs, such as the Toddler Program and the School-Age Program, were created. In addition, TPCDC adopted flexible enrollment options to meet the varying child care needs of families. Today, TPCDC serves more than ninety families, and is a well-established and respected part of the Takoma Park community.
