Karen Foley joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in January 1998, following four years of service in the United States Army. There, she attained the rank of Captain. A graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dietetics, Karen holds Series 6, 63, 65 and 26 securities licenses plus state life and health insurance licenses in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Wisconsin, Texas, Ohio, Alabama, West Virginia, Colorado, North Carolina and Rhode Island. She is a Certified Financial Planner & Trade certificant and a member of the Financial Planning Association. Karen advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Through a values-centered approach to financial planning and a client-first philosophy, Karen is committed to helping her clients plan confidently for the future and to accompanying them on their financial journey. A member of the Blessed Sacrament Parish finance committee, Karen enjoys cycling, traveling and gourmet cooking. She is married with two sons.

Mark Spitler has over 20 years of experience as a First Command Financial Advisor. In addition to Bachelors and Masters degrees, Mark holds Series 6, 63, 65 and 26 securities licenses plus state life and health insurance licenses in Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association. Understanding that the single most powerful contributor to financial well-being is behavior, Mark works closely with clients to develop personalized financial plans that reflect their values, address their priorities and support their goals. Each plan includes recommendations for specific financial products and services to support those goals. And through ongoing planning to address changes in one's financial and personal circumstances, Mark is ready to assist clients as they pursue their goals through a lifetime financial journey. Mark regularly hosts Lunch & Learn presentations for military servicemembers and federal employees to assist them in integrating their benefits into a comprehensive financial plan in order to pursue their financial goals. An avid outdoorsman, Mark enjoys hiking, wilderness backpacking and fast-water canoeing.
