Obviously these other people have no idea what they're talking about! This place is absolutely wonderful! The staff is incredibly kind and attentive making the experience personal and genuine....

El Pollo Primo is an authentic Salvadoran chicken joint in a strip mall along Rockville Pike. Prices are very competitive and food is cooked on a huge grill right in the front window so those who worry about artificial ingredients can watch their food prepared! The decor is endearingly wacky and the staff is very friendly.

This place has been closed for 4+ years, it's a shame because they really had some of the best grilled chicken in the area.

Remember In Living Color's Men on Film? (YouTube it if you've never seen it). Well, El Pollo Primo....Hated it! Food - Ever heard of spatchcocking a chicken? No, that's not a dirty word....

This "Pre-peruvian" chicken place supposedly got its origin from folks from Califorina. Anyhow, the restaurant stresses that they are Salvadorian. The chicken here is Grilled, not rotisseried...
