The Gunpowder Copper Works, established around 1811 by Levi Hollingsworth, was the second oldest copper factory in the United States, located along the Great Gunpowder Falls in Maryland. Renowned for supplying copper sheathing for the U.S. Capitol Dome and other naval products during the War of 1812, the factory played a significant role in the early industrial landscape of America.

After several ownership transitions, including management by the McKim family, the factory ceased operations in 1858 due to flooding. Although it never processed copper again, the site was repurposed for various uses and remains a historical landmark within Gunpowder Falls State Park, with several original buildings still standing today.
