Join EYC Thank you for your interest in membership in Eastport Yacht Club. Ownership of a boat is not required, but a strong interest in boating and active participation in the volunteer-based community of EYC is a necessity. Membership in EYC is not predicated on bloodlines, gender ethnic or financial depth at mean low funding. In fact, we are quite reasonable. If you're aged 35 or under, the Junior/Associate Membership Categories make joining most economical. According to our by-laws 'any human being of good character and reputation, shall be eligible for membership. EYC offers a wide variety of activities and events, both on the water and ashore, for all ages and many interests, from racing to cruising, junior sailing and signature events such as the annual Lights Parade, and more. Shoreside, we have the best view in Annapolis, a cozy clubhouse with bar and restaurant service, and parties and social events year-round. Introduction of the Applicant to EYC Persons may apply for membership in one of EYC's membership categories by first associating and socializing as a guest of the current membership. The objective of this process is for the membership to familiarize the Applicant with the maritime heritage, spirit, goals, objectives, operations, and philosophy of Eastport Yacht Club and its membership. Once familiar with the Club and its membership, a potential Applicant shall require a minimum of two Voting Members to support their Application for membership in Eastport Yacht Club. Those members must have been Voting Members for a minimum of six months and remain Voting Members throughout the application process. A Voting Member will be the Applicant's Sponsor and another Voting Member will be the Applicant's Endorser. It shall be the responsibility of these two Members to familiarize the Applicant with the application process. Should the Applicant become a member of the Club, it is the responsibility of these members to assume stewardship of the new member to assure they become integrated into the EYC family.
