The Dr. Samuel A. Mudd House & Museum in Waldorf, MD is a historic site that offers visitors the opportunity to step back in time and experience the events surrounding the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. As the home of Dr. Samuel Mudd, the southern Maryland doctor who set the leg of John Wilkes Booth the morning after the assassination, the museum provides guided tours of the house and the escape route, allowing visitors to stand where history happened and get up close to the artifacts of that time.

The Dr Mudd house closed their gates at 3:28 when they were scheduled to close at 4:00 pm, with the last tour being at 3:30. Despite arriving on time entrance was denied. Very bad customer service.
