rban Ed, Inc, is a community development organization whose mission is to provide technology education, information and skill development to unemployed and underemployed youth and young adults. Our primary vehicle in carrying out our mission is to use technology in creative ways to ( 1 ) help persons in need gain marketable workplace skills in the information technology field and ( 2 ) help the children of these families who are not scoring at proficient in school gain academic enrichments in the areas of math, English, art and computer science. Urban Ed gives thanks to our volunteer strategic planning team provided to us by Greater DC Cares and led by Booz Allen Hamilton consultants that helped us shape our three-year strategic plan for 2005-2008.
