The Delmarva Shorebirds, based in Salisbury, Maryland, have been the Class A Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles since 1997. Playing in the South Atlantic League, this team is dedicated to providing family-friendly entertainment, hosting 140 games each season at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.
Founded in 1996, the Shorebirds have a rich history, including two South Atlantic League championships and recognition as MiLB Team of the Year in 2019. Many future MLB stars, such as Manny Machado and John Means, have developed their talents while playing for the Shorebirds, making them a key part of the local sports community.
