BRT Laboratories, founded in 1945, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Baltimore Rh Typing Laboratory. The laboratory provides genetic testing for paternity, immigration, forensics and blood products. It serves universities, researchers, hospitals, immigration officials, child support agencies, courts, law enforcement agencies and individuals. Services offered by the lab include DNA genetic testing, forensics, apheresis and the collection of human blood cells for research. BRT Labs also offer clinical services, such as monitoring, DNA sequencing and assay development and validation. BRT Laboratories is accredited by the American Association of Blood Banking, the State of Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene and the state of New York Department of Health. It is headquartered in Baltimore.
