History

Welcome to the Carl & Norma Miller Children's Center, located on the beautiful and historic campus of Frederick Community College. We provide exceptional care for children within our local communities, along with reassurances for parents that their children are receiving only the best levels of care and education. Our philosophy of support and growth provides a safe and stimulating environment for developmentally appropriate learning. At the Carl & Norma Miller Children's Center, our staff members help guide the learning of children in our community, while providing a warm, nurturing environment that fosters development.

Specialties

We implement the Creative Curriculum, developed by Diane Trister Dodge and approved by the Maryland State Department of Education. This philosophy supports learning by way of doing. We understand that learning is more than repeating what someone else says or does. Learning requires active thinking and experimenting to find out how things work and to learn firsthand about the world we live in. Licensed by the MSDE, Office of Child Care (MD-44818).
