World Relief
Established in 1944, World Relief works with evangelical churches to bring relief for suffering people. The organization provides child development programs that teach about health and hygiene, as well as offers conflict resolution services. Associated Black Charities
Associated Black Charities is one of the premier African American philanthropic organizations in Maryland. The organization conducts its business through grant-making, investments, donor-advised funds and fundraising events. It raises and distributes funds to address critical issues and support area service providers with expertise through training and technical assistance. Associated Black Charities coordinates the community response to critical health issues, including HIV, AIDS and the impact of tobacco usage. Its African American Philanthropy Initiative program promotes, encourages and expands organized philanthropy in the African American community. Associated Black Charities has its headquarters in Baltimore and has branches in Cambridge and Landover, Md.
