The U.S. Chess Center in Silver Spring, MD is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting self-confidence, social skills, and academic success through the game of chess. Since its establishment in 1992, the Center has taught approximately 40,000 students across over 150 schools in the National Capital Region, emphasizing the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
