Centrus Energy Corp

USEC is a worldwide energy firm that supplies enriched uranium fuel for commercial nuclear power plants. Through its subsidiary, the United States Enrichment Corporation, the company operates one of the only uranium enrichment facilities in the United States, a gaseous diffusion plant in Paducah, Ky. The company is also the United States government s executive agent for the megatons to megawatts program, a 20-year, commercially funded, nuclear nonproliferation initiative of the U.S. and Russian governments. It recycles weapons-grade uranium taken from dismantled Russian warheads into uranium fuel used by USEC's customers to generate electricity. The company s employees are also involved in the design, development, manufacturing and testing of centrifuge machines. USEC headquarters are in Bethesda, Md.
